what color won't you buy?

I totally echo those that say they love the beautiful colors, but have a hard time playing them. I just recently got a CAR P-body and love the tone, feel, and overall build quality, but I can't help but feel like its too bright and radiating into my retinas.

There is just something so class about understated tones like natural, butterscotch, oly white, 3TSB, and others in that like. No, you're not going to stand out in a crowd, but if your game is tight and your grove is on, then who TF cares?

I actually really like that color, but for 20 bucks, I don't think I would ever be willing to pick a color I didn't like. And of those Mikros, I wouldn't want the metallic purple at any price

I generally don't like bright transparent colors over figured woods. The exception being cherry red vintage Gibsons, which just look correct.

Black, followed closely by natural, unless the natural is walnut. Which won't happen, cuz that's outta my tax bracket.

Definitely some type of green or any bright stand-offish colors that are on standard-looking bodies. Give me a purple burst on a bongo and I'd dig it, but yellow on a j type body and I'd dislike the base on the get go.

Pre-yellowed white, "butterscotch" blonde, or any other variation of, or name for, pre-yellowed blonde. I love pure white and pure blonde finishes, and I even love them when they've naturally yellowed over time. But they look terrible to me when they start out yellowed...especially when they have a piss-colored neck to compliment them.

Natural too. Yuck. My two first basses were fretless with clear finishes ('77 Stingray and '96 L-2000). I still have them, but they're ugly as sin to me.

Would not buy red, gold, or silver, and in this case, wouldn't buy the orange. $20 is not worth saving when there are so many other, better, color choices. But, that's just me.

I only like dark green, teal, turquoise, light blue, lake placid blue, purple-which makes the used market a difficult one for me. If only I liked sunburst, black, red, or natural-everything would be so easy.

Although i've got cherry sunburst & vintage sunburst: i'd never buy sunburst. It just doesnt suit me personally.
