What combo/rig has solid frequency extension down to 50 Hz?

Sounds interesting.... anyone have pics? :D

I’ll get back to you.
Just an EQ note, by the way - The bass EQ on your WT550 amp is a shelving control set at 30Hz. Of course that will boost or cut everything up to that 30Hz shelf.

Better yet, use your the semi-parametric control on your amp if you want to specifically hear 30Hz. It's lowest setting starts at 30Hz. Boost that a couple of clicks and that will boost that 30Hz frequency with a slower slope down on each side of it than a full-parametric control would do. A true parametric control gives you a sort of needlepoint shape of frequencies it will adjust whereas the Eden semi-parametric is more of a pencil-point shape to the frequencies it adjusts. I almost never turn my Bass EQ up on my WT500/800. Had to turn it up a couple of clicks about a month ago and it was the first time in years that I've had to boost it.

Honestly, I rarely boost those low frequencies because they add more mud, rumble, and confusion (hard to hear differences of pitch in individual notes) when you get down close to those subsonic frequencies. Plus, they really suck up a lot of power.

EQ should be wherever it is flat. Lots of amps have commonly known corrections from noon knob settings that yield close to flat. Failing that, going in through the preamp in / fx return cuts out a lot of preaamp jiggery pokery,

or use a mixer and power amp for hopefully ruler flat sending.

Anything works if you settle on a fixed voltage at the speakers, and measure what is hitting them before getting too excited about a volume change.

@devilof76 . . . way cool rig (and bass), thanks for the pic!!! Looks like that setup offers a lot of versatility too.

Thanks! It does indeed. I wanted the fullest range possible within my budget. And the EQ is profound.

And the bass is too. One of BC Rich’s moments. You really went out on a limb digging it publicly, but ya, it’s sick. I don’t know if it’s the mahogany or what. It puts out hard.

LOL! While the body style admittedly wouldn't be a natural choice for myself, the compliment is genuine... your bass is very distinctive and obviously well-loved and source of pride for you since it was featured prominently in the pic! I'm sure the entire setup sounds as good as it looks :D Again, way cool gear!!

Awesome bass! It takes a certain type of guy to play a bass like that...a fookin cool one. You gotta bang out some Slayer just to keep the thing from killing you in your sleep

Seriously,B.C. Rich designed instruments that left little debate as to their intended use....I'm an old thrash metal junkie and I want to jam some Sacred Reich on your bass/rig.

Thank you sir! She does regularly insist that I scare the hell out of the neighbors. Also demands a diet of raw meat. She’s a sweet girl, really. Don’t judge her by her looks! ☺️
