What compressor pedals have sidechain HPF or frequency crossover capabilities?

Aside from waiting to see what Josh at Broughton Audio comes up with, I’m really liking this. At $209 new, it really has a lot of bang for the buck!

Just to hit quickly on a few points without going into too much detail regarding my signal path experimentation, I’m looking to use my M87 to compress the low frequencies after I split my signal with my Byte Heaven SC-1 after my Micro POG...

I’m doing this because I don’t like how the M87 makes my full signal path sound (lows trigger too much compression). I used my Fuzzrocious Feed Me V1 in front of it as a HPF once and it sounded great, but I had to add my low end back later in the chain as it started to sound a little thin in a mix. Seems like too many steps...

I’ve read where using compression in front of the POG may yield tracking issues, so allowing the lows to pass through and using a blend option prior to the POG seems to me to be the best option for doing this. I plan on using it before the POG because it splits the signal path and I want both paths to utilize the compression...

I plan to buy the Singlecross and put octaver and compressor (both EBS) after it (compressor first). Unlike you, I plan to compress lows and leave mids and highs without compression…

Side chains are typically used for DUCKING like for a kik or bass line etc. Kik Will Duck / lower the bass signal etc. , I know you guys seem to like boutique pedals and thats fine , the Speatracomp is a 3 band comp. that seems to be pretty damn good to my ears for $90 !! used plus there are a bunch of presets you can load from other Working bass players.

I came across this old-ish thread while exploring the same question as the OP's, and I feel compelled to clear up a potential misconception around a confusing topic: all compressors have a side chain. As another commenter noted, the sidechain is effectively a "copy" of the input signal that is used to sense how much compression to apply. For example, the LA-2A, a dead-simple classic, has a rather famous sidechain.

@mike buzzetti is referring to one use case for an external side chain (input) in a DAW, mixer, etc. In this use case, the amount of bass compression is controlled by the kick drum signal rather than by the bass signal itself. Confusingly, using an external the sidechain is sometimes referred to ambiguously in verb form, e.g. when a mix engineer "sidechains the kick" in a dance track.
