What continent are you from?

I am curious how the TB members are geographically divided over the continents.

There are various definitions of the "continents", so my apologies if yours is not the same as the polls'.

Really? I have never heard a definition of "continents" that did not come up with those same seven as the only examples.

There is currently a claim that there is another continent, Zealandia...but whoever decides these things doesn't seem convinced just yet.

That map was a brilliant idea and a great addition to the forum. I have used it several times to ping people nearby a TBer in need of geography-specific help.

"Where are you from?" is a simple question that is hard for some of us to answer simply.
I answered Europe on the assumption that the question is "where do you (usually) post from?" rather than "from where do you originate?"

That Zealandia thing is a new one. I still think it's hilarious that it came out of an oil-inspired attempted land-grab, which backfired a bit. It's been confirmed that yes, it's genuinely a continent that we've only just noticed. OTOH, there's a conspiracy theory that Australia doesn't exist, and NZ is often missing from world maps, so methinks it'll take a while to get some traction.

Oceania could be a better bet. And just in case we have somebody lurking from that region, where does Polynesia fit in here?

We haven't been part of Europe since we flooded Doggerland about 8,500 years back, it worked until someone decided to dig a tunnel

I'm in N. America but my Facebook profile lists my hometown as McMurdo Station, Antarctica. Might be as close as you'll get.
