Probably my favorite state to drive through. Going out west as a kid, we would drive Rte. 54 a long way, then get on the freeway at Tucumcari. Although 54 is a great route, the drive on I-40 from Tucumcari to Gallup (and beyond) is like a movie. So many great roads in that state. I'd love to live there.
It is a nice place to live.

Reactions: the harp unstrung
The repeat broadcast of a rebroadcast broadcast, broadcast in a previous decade can still, with runaway relevance, be cast broadly over one's ignorance and illusions. In broad terms, Modern slavery and forced labour gets a guernsey.

Flagging just one aspect, we know all the ins and outs, when it comes to a commercial 'plane's history, don't we. We know its flight-worthiness, and all its movements and legitimate applications; we know who flew, who flies, who will fly; we know those who serve them, those who served; we strive to know everyone's baggage, where they were going, where they want to go, their credentials, where they came from, what they weigh, and, largely, the most intimate state of their disparate states.

We know every inch of the plane: all its parts, all their particulars, down to x-ray detail; we know all maintenance details, all compliances, all logs; we know all the critical info., flight details, schedules, hours of operation; tolerances, stresses, all incidents, ordinary and out of the ordinary; we know all the engineers involved, all the staff, we know the ownership — all of this being governed by some of our strictest laws.

And yet, we often have no detail regarding the nature of the cobalt in each 'plane's batteries — surely a fundamental aspect of a 'plane's fly-by-wire-worthiness, how it came to be there, where it came from, who supplied it, and who mined it. This, I learned today.
