Well, yesterday I learned a cool bass lick from Scott's Bass Lessons.
I love that guy, he makes sense and is easy to follow.
Today I learned that we lost 2 gigs. Ouch.

Today I learned that when people press my door bell and don't hear it ring (to them) it is not working so they don't use it future.
I just had a delivery guy knock on the door, luckily I was within earshot and answered it. I asked him why he didn't press the bell "I pressed it last time and didn't hear anything so didn't think it was working". My brother gave the same answer a while ago.
It is electronic and rings quietly in 4 rooms in the house, time to add another speaker me-thinks. Maybe if I hook up that spare 410 they might just hear that!

Leave it operating normally inside and add a loud horn/siren outside so that it is obvious that it is working.
Get a doorbell with a metal button and wire it to short when pressed. Maybe you will hear the cursing when it is pressed.

It is worth reading the music before trying to play. I looked over a song and realized that the only unique part was the introduction. Everything else is the same 12 bars repeated. For some reason, there were also two endings and a coda which were all identical (and the same as the last few bars of the 12 bar repeats. I'm sure they didn't need to use several pages; it could all have fit on one page.

I know what you mean.
If you're like me, when you get a song that's a couple or three pages of sheet music , you skip everything at first and go straight to the ending to see how it turned out...
When I was in college, there was a place about a half hour from campus which sold all kinds of fireworks. However, one had to go to a window and ask for what you wanted. The rest of it was a giant warehouse that nobody was allowed in, probably because somebody with a cigar would have blown it all to kingdom come. Anyhow, in order to get the attention of whoever was on duty, one had to push a big red button on the outside of the building. If it was your first time there, you got to discover the hard way that the button was attached to the loudest freaking air horn you'd ever heard in your life, and it was pretty much right above you. I was definitely not prepared for it and damn near jumped out of my skin.
I've found often that the opposite is true, that they cram a bunch of repeats and codas and ds al codas onto as few pages as possible so that you have to flip back and forth instead of just playing through to the end.
You can't please everyone.
Well, I mean better for me. I just cook them quickly on either side at higher heat, then turn the heat down and put a pan lid over them, check them after a few minutes, flip them and then put the lid back on. My previous technique was to cook the hell out of them in an open pan and fill the house up with smoke. I'm not exactly Guy Fieri.
