Both Fender's are 74's neither purchased new. I did get the Rick new in 1981, it's a 1980 date. I'm holding a fretless Spector NS-1

1994 I bought this ugly copy of a Jazz, namend Flasher.

1996 I traded it (+cash) for this Ken Rose.

I love that picture...it makes me smile to recall when all the amp you needed was 3 watts, with one 8" speaker

My first bass was a POS Kay bass that looked like a Gibson SG guitar. It was a short scale bass. After playing that for about 3 or 4 yrs, I purchased a Pedulla. This was back when Pedulla was first starting out.

1974-Hondo II P bass Copy with Texas Special pickups through Univox 30 watt Bass amp and converted 6' wooden refridgerator shipping crate with an 18" Radio Shack speaker with metal cone with wood shaving "birds nest" packing..... Sounded awsome! Then to PV Series 400 PA head through PV PA 4x10 towers then 2 Acoustic 4x12 sealed guitar cabs

In this 1978ish 79ish newspaper photo, the 2 PV towers were on the left Traynor amp on top. We would swap bass and guitar during the show...the other guitar/bass player wearing the hat is Gary Tisdale.....BTW the outfits were reversable...White w/Red Buttons on one side and Red w/white buttons on the other with silver lightening bolts...smokin baby

I posted this in the "Worst Gig" thread....The above band was booked to play for a dedication of a modern rest stop on the boarder of Ga and SC... we played to celebrate an OUTHOUSE!! Complete with baloons and hot dogs and News ops for people exiting the crapper to get thier reviews....A ROADSIDE *******!!!It was packed with non-english speaking German tourists who had never seen a R7B Funk band and were fasinated by our keyboard players ARP String Ensamble....Do you understand we litterally played A TURD SHACK!!!!
