Circa 1977 -- Rickenbacker 4001 through Marshall 1/2 stack.
Sorry for the poor quality.

Circa 1980 -- B.C. Rich Mockingbird through MusicMan HD150 head and RH115 cab. This was the sound check before an outdoor gig. Not sure why we always put our cabs up on milk crates back then. Wish I kept this bass and rig.

First bass was an old Kay hollow body i got for $10, with a neck tie for a strap and one guitar string on it, played that for a couple month's then got a mint 1964 Precision bass which I got for $275, yeah it was a long time ago.........

I REALLY like these. Any thoughts on the neck profile? Were there knockoffs that I could mod into a 5 string or is the cost one low enough on an original?

The neck is narrow side-to-side so IMO it wouldn't be practical to try to fit a 5th string in there. I wouldn't want to do that to an original Mosrite anyway. Maybe the Eastwood basses have wider necks or are offered in a 5-string version.
