no I'm not new, I've lurked for a long time, had a previous account "Meev991", and then switched to "Meev992"

and I subscribe to talkbass.com's RSS Feed. So I see every new thread that pops up on TB.

For Free recording software, you can download Audacity

So you dont have to search for it. Here it is

After Audacity (free) moving onward and upward you have Reaper and N-Track. Both are quite affordable and while keeping the controls somewhat simple they both rival the big name brands in function.

Anyway you go, Audacity is a nice tool to have on your audio pc for editing purposes.

I have audacity aswell as fruityloops. Downloaded em both awhile back.
