What do you like your amp/cab covered in?

A bit of a random question..... But what do you like your amp/cab covered in and why?

Does it affect the sound in any way?

Does it hold up well to general gigging?

Line-X is the best, but almost no manufacturers use it. Tolex is easy to clean, but prone to tearing. Rat fur won't tear, but it'll get fuzzy looking after awhile.

My DIY 210 cab has some Line-X knockoff. The truck bed liner spraying company only charged $50, and I think it turns out better looking than Duratex. This is the only coating I want on my cabs.

I hate Tolex. If it tears, repairing it sucks.

Yeah, I have found with the amps/cabs that I've owned that tolex is great looking but tears/rips easy, carpet holds up well but looks a little cheaper.

The recipe is on the side of a box of vanilla wafers. The toughest part will be calculating how many batches you will need, which will depend, of course, on the size of your cab.

I think Avatar has that option. But yes any of the ultra-tough spray on bed liner like coatings that seals the wood and gives a super protective non-slip grippy surface would be best.

No.

Extremely well. That's its strongest selling point.
