what do you put on your saltines

I like (in that exact order)
* a hefty portion of fake butter (i can't believe it's not butter is what I use)
* a slice of gouda cheese
* a slice of swiss cheese
* a slice of hard salami (oh crap! maybe THIS is the source of all those gay netflix recommendations!)

All while having a glass of your favorite red wine (I like Syrah, personally) and watching your new (NON-homosexual) related nextflix arrival.

:D

What do you put on yours?

??? :eyebrow:

I'm still a kid at heart so PBNJ. Quadruple deckers that squeeze out when you try to fit them in your mouth.

I know Ritz is better but hey, my mom was broke.

We used our imagination...you know:

Buttered bread rolled in sugar
Peanutbutter, mayo and lettuce sandwiches
PBNJ with potato chips in the middle
Buttered bread dipped in hot chocolate
Fried bologna on buttered toast
Fried bubbly flour tortillas with a little shredded cheddar
Homemade doughnuts (which was really cool!); she'd take those tubes of cheap biscuits that pop when you pull the tab. Then each patty shape was punched out in the middle with a metal cap or something (a shot glass would work too), then some oil heated in a pan and each would take it's turn, drain on paper towels, and then get rolled in sugar.

We loved the doughnut "holes" the most that were left after punching them out.

This totally brightened a Sat/Sun morning and probably cost a quarter back then.

I actually LIKED eating this stuff so don't feel bad.

I've become a very creative cook. I can walk into your house with little in the fridge and a few cans and boxes in the kitchen and cook you a gourmet dinner!

No, I don't mean pickles and green beans with catchup either.

Didn't they used to spell it catsup???? Spellcheck changes it to catchup.

Working in restaurants and having roomates helped as well.

Maybe someone should start a favorite "weird" food thread.

Bon appetite!

lol, go figure

Luthiers have to eat, too...what they eat can affect the quality of the build...hence, it's not off topic at all...

now, let's discuss how solar flares affect the power grid which in turn affects the rotational speed of our power tools which can ALSO affect the quality of the build...not to mention GLOBAL WARMING!

ohhh and to tie it all together, CH4 passed via the digestive tract contributes to global warming, too...and then the trees...OH THE TREES!...

Excuse me...I have a tree to hug (they appreciate it, when you do that, ya know) ;)
