I'm from Eastern Canada. Not Newfoundland (thankfully), but Halifax. I went to Toronto to visit my friend and someone said, "Hey, where's your accent? I thought Eastern Canadians had accents?" I guess I just sound Canadian, eh?
Well, I didn't think Toronto and Halifax had specific accents. I know Newfoundland does for sure. I mean, we have accents to someone who lives in a different country, or you fine folk down south... but this girl expected some "exoticness".

This is kinda funny actually. I've been told that I pick up accents while talking to people and actually start using them. I don't see it, or even notice myself doing it, but I've been told many many times.
I grew up in Philly and Sacramento .. I think I have an anti accent if anything.
