Ed, very impressive.
I can't place the American accent, but you could certainly pass as an American in places that don't have strong distinctive accents.

ha! The mobster is neat, it's almost that horrid north Jersey accent. Just a little tweaking it and you'll have it down.
They were interviewing a woman from NJ on the news last night who lost a sister and a son in the 9/11 attack. I felt like such a heathen because i couldn't stop laughing at her accent

Yeah that accent is.....ugh...of course north Jersey folks might say the same about mine. The thing with NJ is that we're sandwiched in between NYC and Philly. Usually the folks from Central and South Jersey are more prone to a Philadelphia-type of accent and lingo ("hoagie" instead of "sub", etc), whereas north Jersey picks up a huge amount of NYC influence.
When my wife first moved to the USA, her family settled in north Jersey, so when she was learning English, she picked up some of that pronunciation - the word "orange" to me is pronounced "are-ange" to her it's "oar-ange", I'm always busting on her for stuff like that. Of course she then starts cussing me out in Spanish and some Chinese so she always seems to get the last word in..

Somehow I couldn't nail Scottish, which I can do normally. Same goes for cockney.

I really need to work on my enunciation, could come handy to speak properly (and also I'm supposed to represent my college at the province's student association next year which is in English.) But thanks!

hahah. I've been practicing my non-regional diction.
I figured my 'non-accent' accent would be interesting.
