What Do You Think??

Hey Fellow Members, I like to know what you all think of my upcoming acquisition of this bass. I wanted a "backup" to my MM M2, but, didn't want to fork out a lot of cash with so much financial uncertainty going on lately. So, with a lot of searching, researching, you know the deal, I found this Cort A5 Plus on Reverb. Same site I got my MM M2. Read a lot of reviews and checked out some YouTube videos about the bass. I was pretty impressed. Looks good, sounds good, and the price is right. I'm attaching a photo of it, and would love to hear some feedback from you guys. Thanks!

i'm not familiar with either model. but they both look like they could be more than competent. if you can't play one/both for an overall feel = choose the one with the best specs for you. 'looks' shouldn't have anything to do with an important choice of instruments, just feel. (.02). waiting for your NBD! good luck!

Cort makes more guitars and basses than any other manufacturer in the world. Along with Samick they make basses for other manufacturers. Cort makes manny of Ibanez’ basses. They made the Fender Deluxe Jazz 24.

Putting it up against the Yamaha TBRX is a tough choice though, but overall all I believe the Cort Artisan is a better quality better made instrument.

Hey, thanks for the input, guys. Always good to get opinions from fellow bassists. I was going for the Yamaha, because, I got a good deal proposal from a dealer, which I could get now, and the Cort is due to be available next month. I'm sure you guys know what it's like to waiting to order a bass you are truly interested in. But, I think I'm going with my "gut" to hold out for the Cort. All the electronics, the build, and appearance, gives me the resolve to wait for it. I guess it speaks to going with what you "feel" will work for you, instead of going with what's readily available. Be back with updates. Thanks, guys!!!

Hey B-Mac, I want to run this by you, since you seem to know or are familiar with the Cort Artisan basses. I have an A5 Plus FMMH on order, expect to get it the end of September. But, I also have an opportunity to acquire a Cort A5 Custom Z. Of course, it is used, but, the seller assures me it's in excellent condition. I'm putting the specs for the Custom Z in this response. I sure would like to know if you think it would be a wise purchase. I'm kinda pressed to obtain a replacement for my MTD, which was horribly damaged. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don’t see how you can go wrong.
5-String Classic Bass MK Soapbar - MK5CBC - Bartolini Pickups & Electronics

The pups alone are almost half as mush as the purchase price you’re looking at.

Hey..... thanks, Brother! My guy is selling his for $675+$39 for shipping. Good thing, is, he said he can get it to me in 2 weeks. The A5 Plus I "pre-ordered" won't be delivered until the end of September. I understand the delays because of Covid, but, getting a bass with these specs for about the same price, I don't see how I can pass it up. Thanks, Man!! You "ROCK"!!!
