I live in southern Sweden and bass guitar lessons are little less then $100 per hour from the music schools (you buy packages like 10x45min sessions for about $750 which is the same $100 an hour). You can of course get cheaper if you choose someone from a privat add, then it's from 20 bucks and up.
It's about the same prize for whatever instrument you choose.
Some municipalities in my country pay the majority of the fee if it's from a music school.
