What does it take to become a Mod?

That's no benefit - it's a responsibility!

I would say that anybody who see this as a benefit should not be allowed to be a Mod! :p

Come clean - you really just want an avatar without having to stump up the cash!

Cheapskate!! :p

i could care less about avatars. as soon as i get one of those funky gift cards that you can use anywhere im gonna get a supporting membership.

-A little black book with poems in
-A bag with a toothbrush and a comb
-Elastic bands keepin' your shoes on
-Swollen hands
-Electric light
-Second sight
-Amazing powers of observation
-Obligatory Hendrix perm
-Pinhole burns all down the front of your favorite satin shirt
-Nicotine stains on your fingers
-A silver spoon on a chain
-A grand piano
-Wild staring eyes
-A strong urge to fly

but nowhere to fly to. basically you gto to be a sad mf:D

the benefit that i see is that you have the power to delete posts. and ban people when they are being mean to the other TB'ers.
If I were paul, I wouldn't pick you to be a mod based on that mentality.

I was a mod for three years. I found this site, loved it, and offered to help out in any way possible. I feel I'm levelheaded, take criticism well, and frankly had the urge to help out in a SELFLESS manner. You need to give your time without using it in a manner that will benefit you, and it frankly seems like you just want the power.

How old are you anyway?

im 12. i forgot to put in that post about the deletion of posts is only possible if in the best interest of the community to get rid of the post.

mods have to be thick skinned, as they will often have someone pissed off at them for various reasons.

they often have to be knowledgable about the area they are moderating. (most of the time).

almost no banning get's done without talking about it with other mods and/or paul.

they have to be able to volunteer a lot of time.

we don't do it because it's "fun". we don't do it because it's "cool".
we do it because we've all spent massive amounts of time on TB and want to give back in any way we can.
