I registered with ASCAP and I was trying to come up with something unique to name my publishing company. ASCAP requires that you submit 3 names in case one or 2 are already taken. My first choice was Scarbelly (nick-name of the family dog. Evidently it was taken already - I was really disappointed about that. Being the kind of guy that likes to color outside the lines, I thought EscapeNote was a good 2nd choice.

Bass Guitar Bubba. My guitarist is into nicknames for each band member so he named me 'Bubba D'. The 'D' came from a song we were rehearsing in which I always seemed to want to go to another note instead of the D. I dropped the 'D' and added Bass Guitar before the 'Bubba' and came up with my screen name.

Mine is my first name, and I bother mentioning it simply because most of you probably won't realise it as it's a modern Hebrew name :)

It's an ancient Israelite measure unit that mainly uses to refer to a sheaf of wheat. In the second day of Passover a sacrifice of a sheaf of barley was being made, and Jews to this day commemorate the seven weeks between Passover and Shavuot (meaning literally "Weeks"), known as "Safirat Ha-Omer" (Counting of the Omer).

I've always been proud that my name has something to do with beer ingredients.

A few years ago I had a job change that forced me to start to have to travel. didn't have a company computer, and the wife and I wanted to be able to email each other while I was on the road. Picked out another email address based on my first name (Jeff) and the model of a new Nikon camera that I had just bought about 2 weeks prior (F100). Had no realization at the time that I would forever be stuck having to tell people "yes, there are 3 "f's". Have been using the email and user name on several bulliten boards since.

Competition shooting is a passion, More underground stuff, less IDPA or USPSA ...But hope to compete nationally soon. I've tried a match or two but nothing is close enough to home just yet. Confidence in my abilities is where the name stems from.
Not Cockyness but confidence. I have been shooting competitively since I was a small child 8-10, Sometime around the age of 14 I realized I could shoot better than most adults and started getting into under the table betting for hits Shhhhhhhhh!!!
