I've been jamming with a pal who plays water bowls. Puts some water in a metal bowl and either rubs a mallet on the bowl or taps the bottom, with a mic suspended over the bowl, run through a preamp, into the PA. We're getting some very ethereal sounds!
He wants an effect where he hits a note with his mallet, and it sounds the hit followed by an echo hit ... one time. I have a BOSS DD, and I can set it up where it echoes the hit, but it just keeps echoing until it fades out. He just wants one echo. Imagine a single-note hammer-off on guitar.
What can I do to get this?
