What fears do you have?

i cant put wood in my mouth (all jokes aside this is a medical condition)... its a tactile thing.... wood and cardboard on my tongue make me barf.... there is a name for it...

It's not really a fear, but I can imagine how it is. I feel, not wanting to barf, at least a bit uncomfortable with it!

Else I can't really think of anything I outright fear. I don't really mind dark or enclosed spaces, nor spiders or anything. I guess it is my so-far lack of experience with things to scare the **** out of me.
I feel however ill-spirited when I think of the fact that I will die within the next 70 years :/ Such a short time, and the reason it is too short is becuase I'll never know how mankind will meet it's demise :( I don't fear death though. Just dislike the thought of not knowing how it'll go with us all.

Edit; I fear karma.

i have a fear of losing all i have. that being my family, home, etc. whether it be a intangible or superificial possession....i'm just afraid i'll lose what comforts me the most. i already have a divided family so that has worsened things. perhaps it can all be summed up by the fear of failure. but looking at things positively.....i think all the problems i've gone through have made me a stronger person in general.

I don't have many fears left, as I've spent a great deal of time and effort working through the irrational ones.

However, my one real fear is a great one: I'm afraid I'll die of poor health before I get to see all my kids grow up and help raise their kids.

That one still consumes me from time to time.

I am slightly claustrophobic, although it is only really with caves. I can trace this back to my childhood. I was about 4 or 5, and we visited a cave. There was a massive rock that had fallen from the ceiling many years previously. The guide had tucked a red rubber glove under the rock, and said that it was someone who had been crushed by the rock :hmm:

Since then I have been really nervous in small caves. It is not a proper fear I guess - I could make myself go in if I wanted to, but I just really really don't like doing it.

Also, I have that thing with the wood and the mouth. Except I don't want to vomit - it is more like when someone scrapes their fingernails down a blackboard - it makes me cringe and shiver.

Bees and wasps. If I see one near me while cutting the yard I will bolt, sometimes even forgetting to let go of the lawn mower.

Last year my fears came to reality when I mowed over an underground yellow jacket nest. Nothing has sucked more than that. Its hard to get them things off ya. I got inside and first thing I did was grab a cold beer. I was sore for a while, and did'nt want to leave the house.
