Rosewood for a P. Partly because of the warmer tone, partly because my first bass was a MIM P with rosewood, and partly because coming from playing upright a darker fingerboard sometimes just looks right to me.
I do like some maple board instruments also though. My T-40 and 55-01 are both Maple and I love them and the maple with black blocks is HOT.
