What goes well with shoreline gold?

I've got a shoreline gold fender with a white pearl pickguard, and for some reason it doesn't do it for me. But I can't decide what to replace it with. I'm torn between parchment and mint green, but I can't find good pictures to help me compare. Any opinions?

Plain white looks best IMO.

More contrast than parchment, sets off the gold best without taking attention away from it.

Parchment looks good, too. Check for pictures of Adam Clayton's J with black blocks to see an example. I think parchment looks good with a maple board, white best with rosewood, FWIW.

I think either of those would be good. Also I've seen some nice Shoreline Gold basses with tort guards.

I prefer a Mint guard with Shoreline Gold and Parchment would be my second choice.

tan

those are in order of the ones i liked most. try wdmusic.com that's where I bought 3 of mine from. the others I found used on Ebay.

I'd have to say parchment, too. Warmer than pure snow-white, and reminiscent of a Gold-Top Les Paul with the creme plastic hardware. Seems period-correct.

Depends on the fingerboard, IMO. But I prefer parchment.

That fits really well at the control plate. So many aftermarket guards do not fit that well. Nice.
