Its a 410 xl-series. Any suggestions on what head to buy? It's used for basic garage rock, punk, blues. Sorry if this has been posted before.

what head for a Hartke 410?

Good parameters to start with, do you have a budget in mind?
The PF500 may be a great head for what you play, and can go to 4 ohms if you need to add another 8 ohm 410 cab

I was hoping to find used in the $350 range, hopefully that's realistic.
Pardon the naive question, would that be powerful enough to run a 2nd 8 ohm 410 cab?
I've only owned combo amps and know very little about heads/cabs.
Looks like your XL is 8 ohm, so the pf500 would use 350 watts on that cab
If you added another identical XL for example, the head would drive both cabinets at 4 ohms at a total of 500w
Should do plenty well volume wise on a single 410, but you would have room to expand should you need

As for used prices, $350 can buy a pretty decent amp head
Honestly, a lot of the amps made these days are good. Each brand has a different inherent tone. YouTube is fairly worthless for determining that.
If you have somewhere to test amps, take your cab and bass, so you will have “known” items to work with

I’m a huge fan of the Hartke LH series. The LH 500 would be ideal. Brand new $350. Specs are specs, but, these amps sound great with their Class A tube preamps and they are loud. I had a PF800 for a short while which I loved, but, I tested an LH1000 and it simply blew it out of the water for both tone and power.
Literally any head. It's a very universal cab
I used a 410XL for the better pat of ten years with an SWR Basic 350 amp in a two guitar drums and vocalist situation and there were only a (very) few times i wished i had more.

350 used is a good going price for a pf500, and oh yes on your power question.
Any of the Hartke Transient Attack series, or most any Hartke would probably be pretty complimentary.
Another vote for GK RB series. I used to run that rig and loved it. Also had a 115XL in that stack. Hard times forced me to sell it all way back when. I've always missed that rig -- never had a single complaint about it aside from the weight of that 410. I was a younger and stronger guy back then and it didn't bother me like it would these days, though.
