Sorry for having to ask this, but what does it mean when a truss rod is stripped? My understanding of what it is is not exactly clear.

What is a stripped truss rod?

In simple terms, the truss rod is like a very long nut and a bolt. When the threads of the bolt or nut are stripped (damaged), they either lock up or they spin too much.
