What is a tilt EQ and how does it work? (Diamond BCP-1 Question)

All electronic circuits are representations of mathematical functions. If there are discrepancies between the calculated/simulated with the actual physical measurements, then something was not included or overlooked with those calculations and simulations.:)

Simulator or calculator is neither here nor there really - the OP asked for better understanding of how tilt EQ works - this tool provides modelling and illustration of a number of passive tone stacks - nothing more, nothing less.

:laugh: Only for the Diamond tilt control not being flat in the center position of the control.

For those that are reading a conflict between what Cyrus (bongomania) is saying and what I am saying... THERE IS NO CONFLICT! Cyrus has proven to me that he has mutant hearing abilities and we are in agreement and very much alike for most things technically related (and probably other topics too). I love seeing him debunk mojo myths and nonsense. So if he said that he hears something, I believe it, and given the time and with proper test equipment I can usually verify what he hears. Which goes to my hardened beliefs that if something is actually audible it can be measured and proven.:thumbsup:

Huh? You said that there can be a difference between calculated/simulated and reality and I was directly addressing that statement. I agree that the topic is tilt EQ and specifically the tilt EQ in the Diamond.

My favourite misunderstanding is still the "semi-solid" bass. After that thread I now still refer to my plywood-back&sides/Carved-front bass as a semi-solid, I like the term, it is appropriate even. Alas, the guy who coined the term, Stranded Horse, didn't appreciate my foaling around and took it personally before trotting off into the sunset. Canter win 'em all.

Then, IIRC, some other guy chimes in about how he married an Asian woman and it was disrespectful given the ESL factor or something like that. If none of this makes sense, the cycle of fifth lives on and has come full circle.


Meanwhile, I'm bass-less and without my Diamond Comp...:crying:
