What is the cause of your current GAS attack?

I must confess, that lately, I have had a severe case of GAS. While there are many basses/gear i lust for, I try to limit myself to the gear that would be in reason for me to purchase. (Thats means my custom Fodera will have to wait i guess :hmm:)

So I just thought I'd see what everyone else is GASing for these days.

The main cause of my GAs is:

5 string Fender MM Signataure and an Acoustic 200 watt head and their 4x10 cabinet.

A 5 string Benavente SCD wouldn't be too far outta my price range either. ;)

I've been all about J-basses lately, and I've come darned close to getting an MIM Classic '70s Jazz. But, as a G&L freak, I'm standing pat until I learn about the new models coming out soon. If one of them gets me fired up, I might sell my Precision and go for it. I already have GAS for G&L's new Les Paul style guitar called the Ascari, but unless I end up on guitar in a band, fughedaboutit.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to get these any time soon (unless I pick up a lot of cover gigs),

but I am really wanting a pair of MIA Precisions (or 'boutique' equivalent) and a Jazz.

On top of that, I'm not really sure what else to "wish" for since the vast majority of music I play is served by Fenders/Fender clones.

Maybe a Telecaster bass with one or two humbuckers for a different sound as well?

What is the CAUSE of it? I'm trying desparately to fill a dark void left where my soul used to be.

What am I lusting after? A Modulus Q4 (can't afford it), a Custom Shop Jazz, a 5 and a fretless, an In Ear Monitor system, a Glockenklang Soul II and Take Five 410, a new truck...

Dang lotto isn't cooperating.

I am weak in the knees! This is a Warwick custom shop model made for the bassist from Meshuggah. Way out of my price range though :D I'll have to wait till they break up and fall on hard times and get one used :)

I like my gear now. But my 62 Jazz Reissue is on its last leg. I've been playing it aggressively for 2.5 years (5 years in total) 3-4 times a week year round in a wedding band. After traveling, loading, unloading, weather, sweat, yadda yadda, it's time to retire the old girl. She'll never leave me, but I need to give her a break! It's not broken or crappy, it's just a delicate instrument, and it's done it's job well. I need work horses now!
