What is the ultimate best P/J value???

I chose the components and assembled it myself so I got what I wanted

per the OP: this is a reasonable option for a 'superior' ax. it also may be the "ultimate best PJ value." even if you're not handy enough to mod your own ax: anyone can research/acquire the parts and then have a tech/luthier assemble them. start with one of your own or start from scratch. if you can live with a bolt-on neck = the world is your oyster!

Since bang for the buck has bucks in the denominator, as bucks goes to zero it really shoots up. So. It's hard to beat the Ibanez TMB100/105. Especially the five as that field is much much narrower.

Can you even get another 5-string PJ for $250, even used?

How much do you want to spend? There could be a used Fodera out there that’s a good value but lots of $$. Or you could buy a brand new Ibanez tmb100 that’s also a good value at $199.00. Or you could find a used Tmb100 for $50.00 like I did. That was a great value.

The Harley Benton PJ-75, babyyyyyy

I got one about a month ago, it cost me $160 shipped to my door brand new...which is cheating a bit since shipping from Thomann to the US has gone up a lot since then. I've got a ton of videos up playing it now. It sounds really nice...way better than something in that price range has any right to sound. Fit and finish are fantastic as well.

I really want to find a good deal on a 755. I have a 750 and it's a real heavy hitting tone monster

Funny, I want to keep my 5 and get a four as well. No idea why, just do. I have Gotoh res-O-lite tuners and a Nordstrand Big Split pickup replacing the single coil pin the bridge position and if I got a 750 I would make the same mods. Can’t see one coming up here in Australia be I can dream...

still thinking of that Jaguar too. No need for either of them, really. Just glad to own my bass.
