WHAT is this bass?

I'm in the market for my first five string after years of playing four. I'm not sure what kind of bass this is, but when I saw Dubtonic Kru live, i absolutely loved the bass player's tone (of course, his bass isn't the only thing controlling that, but it's a start...)

Here's a clear picture I could find.

I researched to try and find it, but i was unable...maybe it's just a custom bass.

I'm 99% sure it's a Leduc, from France. You can see the inlay on the "headstock". Nice basses.

not sure of the builder but you can see that it is a headless design.. the tuners are at the end of the bridge like a Steinbeger.

I think it's a Maurad made by Leduc. They're French.

BTW...France is south of Italy and east of Norway, an area rich of dense tropical woods, perfect for making musical instruments. These are good basses
