What is your Anti-GAS?

I might be BUT have a suspicion that the price could trigger a stroke...or two..
...and we're about 4 months away from me being able to seriously think about it. For all we know, I might get run over by a truck tomorrow so there's that...
We won't abuse you. However my US Geddy is anything but your average Fender. That is exactly why I bought it.
You should have no problem getting rid off of it for enough $$$ to replace it with something that you'd like...

I really like the basses I own but I keep pining for a 2002 Fender Mustang Japanese built that looks just like my 67 California built Mustang bass that I so wish that I had not let go of. And the new Guild Starfire I with Precision style pickups has my ears perked. But my best anti-gas is tht I like what I have and don't have money for any major bass purchas3s

Huge respect for Mr. Roth here. He'll most certainly make better use of it than I would have.
It finally sold for nearly a grand to an east coast player who knows a great tool when he sees one.
For me, it's my Biyang RV-10 reverb pedal. It's fine, nothing special, a little bit sensitive to input levels but it does the job and it was really cheap. I'm fine keeping it because anything significantly better would be much more expensive and I can use that money for another preamp pedal. You can't defeat GAS, you can only redirect it.
Having bought my 3rd bass I now know by anti-GAS is having >2 basses.
It's almost stressing me out cause there's no way I can appreciate all 3. I'm thinking about going back down to 1, but selling is tough.

My anti-GAS is playing a lot. When I'm playing I'm not thinking about stuff I might want to buy.
When I had a 67 EB-O, I replaced the strings with Guild tAPEWOUNDS. tHEN IT WAS A GREAT BASS Sold it when I thought I would never play again---Obviously that changed but I am ok with
Squier basses
My Sadowsky Metro 5 string Jazz. Sounds huge, plays beautifully and looks great (burst & tort). Just one small issue. . . . slightly too heavy! In previous years I've been OK on the gig, but glad to take it off at the end. I've been working out to keep my strength up in lockdown and I hope I've done enough to get me through the long gigs. I really want to keep this bass, but age is making some of these decisions for me!!
My Fender AVRI Jazz Bass.
The 3-bolt, micro-tilt neck joint is less than rock solid, the neck has a few dull (but not quite dead) spots and it did not come with the original case or any of the case candy, but the tone is amazing.
