Several years ago I traded in an early 70's Ric 4001 fretless in mint condition for a ridiculously low credit towards something else. Wish I had it now not to play it, but instead sell it for top $$$ to a Ric fanatic who would over pay for one.

Completely clean for over 18 years. Hell, I even recovered from having my intestines rebuilt with zero painkillers. I requested being removed from the morphine drip, in fact, the morning after the 7.5 hour ordeal.

Back in 1985 I bought an Alembic Series One, used, from a pawn shop, for $500. Later traded it to a music store for a brand new Rickenbacker and $400 cash.
