What is your biggest regret?

Where to start...hmm....

I regret knowing some of the people I know. Several friends or "friends" have gotten me into alot of trouble. One was a drug dealer (didn't know this at the time) and I followed him to a drug deal I didn't know was happening and almost got knifed. I regret my whole grade 9 and 10 year in highschool. I did some things that are really coming back to haunt me. Such as dating a girl who is now stalking me.

The most recent, is kinda hard to explain, but i regret getting involved anyway

Gangs members house got egged alot, said gang member thought it was me, gang members brother goes to school with me, said brother makes up lies about me. Now gang is after me. I regret going to school with this kid and I regret getting involved.

I've got more...But I don't wanna get banned..

Trying out "stuff" and ending up in a very embarassing situation with very wrong people (as in "oh dang, this is not a girl). I am not a proud man. :p

And not trying out stuff and discovering music very late. I always have this grudge against my family for being very much of the non-artistic kind, keeping me away from arts 'till I was 14-15. I am now in my last semester of graphics design studies, and a decent bass player, but even if I give my best at it, I'm still a few years behind all of the great players of my age that I've met and I'd like to play with. I know later this will be a very small gap, but right now I'm a quarter of my life behind those guys.

But I need to be sad/depressed to really give into this kind of thinking. Life goes on :)

Not listening harder to my mom and grandmother about financial issues. Both grew up in the last Depression, they were widowed relatively young, they were two of the tightest people with a dollar who ever lived, but we kids never went hungry and were always well cared for. I hope I can do as well for my own daughter, but somehow I think they were much better at saying "NO" than I am.

I regret giving up on running. Once upon a time I was quite the distance runner. I typically did between 15 and 20 miles everyday. I ran several races, was always tweaking my training schedule to include 30/60 splits, sprints, long and short runs, etc. When I wasn't running, I was reading runner's world, or triathlete magazine, or something related to my sport. My motto was "a day without running pretty much sucks!" And without even realizing it, I stopped. Granted, I did have some injuries that sidelined me. But even when I discovered that I could run again, I tried to get back into it but the passion was gone. I still try occasionally to get started in it again. But there is zero motivation. I feel that if I would have stayed with it, the momentum would only have increased.

make a lifetime movie about your comeback to running from being a alcoholic lazy bass player

I don't think Traci Gold would fit the part. Maybe Judith Light? Man that network likes to recycle actors.

How many times does an actor need to play the part of the schizophrenic baby beating alcoholic before they get a complex about it. :)

(oops I forgot to add the abusive cheating drug addicted gambling boyfriend into the equation)

i regret not talking to my father,i havent spoke to him in 2 years cause he is an alcoholic. he would rather spend his money on beer than feed himself or my 9 and 11 year old sibblings. and i got tired of it. now i miss him but im to stubborn to call.
