what is your "day job"?

Since the move to Denver, I'm away from substance abuse tx and back to mental health tx. I'm now a therapist for adults that have pretty severe mental illness. Lots of schizophrenia and affective disorders with psychosis.
It's certainly interesting.
Right on. I've bought plenty of their parts over the years. I love how the logo on the stickers has never changed over the years. Very cool.

we got a black one in September. I went and took it for a ride, that thing is strange. trikes aren't my thing. hasn't sold. its still here.

2D/3D game artist, generally kids multimedia for the web. My current studio does contract work for Disney, Hasbro, etc.

My one Masters is in Secondary School Counseling. All of the state mandated exams are different in PA and CO. Great for me I moved, huh? :scowl:

although I'm not sure how much longer this will last. Work in this area has slowed a lot due to the over-building of new houses, almost all on spec. Last year at this time we had a few foundations going and working on a lot of huge interior jobs - lots of tile and slate. And a few rock fireplaces, etc.
This year has really quieted down. There are enough small jobs to keep me and my boss going. The supply yards around here are like ghost towns. Now contractors are asking if we know of jobs going on. Last year we had to hide because they all wanted us working on their projects.
Another thing is I think I'm getting too old to be doing this job. I love hard work and can keep up, but my body is starting to wear down. Wrenched my back a couple of days ago and can barely walk. Hurt it working in a lumber yard 15 years ago, Thought it was pretty much healed, a few bad days here and there, but now it's fried - again. Lots of aspirin and ice. Keep trying to hire young strong guys to help, but they last two or three days and quit. It is hard work, but if a 50 year old skinny wimp like me can do it, they should be able to do it. Hardly any new blood coming into the trades -- I don't blame kids: it is hard work.
My boss is 15 years younger than me and his body is even more worn out than mine! So thinkin' it's, once again, time to re-invent the Rycoman. Have NO clue as to what that will be. Moved to a remote town so job opportunities are a little limited. The present job pays very well, but I don't require a lot of money to live. No debts, own everything. Some medical issues with me and the girl, but do have private in$urance.
To kids: stay in school, find something you're crazy about doing and get really good at it!

I'm an administrator in Continuing Education for a public university. Music is a hobby.
