Pretty much whatever i'm dealing with at the time. I've always been of a mind that your dog(s) find you so you pretty much have to be happy with whatever washes up on your doorstep, however they might manage to come your way.

my longest affair was with dobies and included 5 dogs before I was without an animal for a number of years. All but one was a rescue and for a brief time I had all 5 at once, but I was out in the STICKS so it was all good. The eldest took off after her imaginary mouse about 8 months after the newest member of our little pack arrived. Cuda was goofy as hell, would snap bumble bees and they would sting her in the mouth often enough she would just yelp every time she snapped one. She was one big old giant heart wrapped in black and tan livery and lived out a full 15 years before passing peacefully in her sleep one night. Between snakes and age I lost the other 4 over the next few years and then I was without a dog for a long time. I had opportunities but it was like the dogs could tell I was not ready yet.

I bet she could take a midnight dog walk in the worse part of town and even the bad guys would cross the street when they see that coming.

I actually first heard of that breed from a show called "Russia's Toughest Prisons". They used them as guard dogs.

The guards said "They're even better than the guns, because even with all of the precautions, a gun can get taken from you. The dogs don't stop"

I would certainly be terrified. They were moving one of the prisoners. They do it with 2 armed guards and the dog and his trainer. The whole time the dog was just like "C'mon, let me off this leash for just one second..."

The prisoners weren't your run of the mill thugs. Each one in there had killed, on average, 3 people. So, the precautions were definitely needed.
