What is your favorite donut from your local bakery?

In Connecticut, there is a small chain (2 stores) - Neil's Donuts. They open 6am, and close when they run out - could be noon, could be later. Everything is delicious, and their prices are about equal to DD. Real pastry creme in the Boston Creme donuts.

local cider mill has these plain fried doughnuts with brown sugar. Delicious, especially with a cup of hot cider.

Also, yes, local Apple farm back home does fresh hot Apple cider donuts. It's a piece of heaven on earth

Hot cup of coffee and any doughnut works for me. I still love chocolate covered filled long John's. Someone said it here. Some dognuts deserve chocolate milk to.

Back in the day playing Frisbee in the Mr. Donut parking lot it was grape soda and a sugar glazed. Good god I can't believe I did that.

I'm a huge fan of French Crullers. My favorite are chocolate dipped. There's a small donut shop here in town that makes excellent French Crullers. I'm very fond of choux pastry.

Years ago when I lived in Morro Bay, the donut shop had incredible cake donuts with cinnamon crumb topping. Their secret, they told me, was fresh frying oil.

Nowadays, my favorites are raised raspberry jelly donuts. Yum!
