What keeps you humble ?

What keeps you humble ? For me I would say it was the way I was raised and also I despise the behavior of people with inflated egos.

I suppose a lot has to do with the way I was raised and many life experiences in the last 24 years. I have incredible patience and I think that helps as well. I frequently have to wait 8 hours every other Sunday to get a ride home. I have been doing this for months now. Aside from my patience, I believe my ability to do such a thing is my mind in general. I know how to try and relax my body and just drift with time. I do not know how to explain it really, but there is something in that process that really helps in keeping a clear mind, thus humbling me in general.

To add to this... I have a very logical and rational mind and can be very keen on certain things which raises my insight substantially. I am not, but sometimes I feel almost psychic with my perception on things. It is all a matter of piecing things together the way I do. However, when I am in a negative mood, this is a complete backfire on me. It causes me to become very cynical when I realize things that I do not want to know, or do not know, but are a possibility. When things are not so bleak, I realize the difference in my train of thoughts, and the physical effects upon my body. This relates to my inner balance, my inner balance is where I attribute my ability to be humble. I am better than no one else, but no one else is better than me. :)
