Current stable (update):

Fender MIM Precision
Fender MIM Jazz V w/ Audere preamp and QuarterPounders
Ibanez SR 506
Lakland 55-02D
NS NXT 5
Samuel Shen 90
Kanstul 90 CC

Trying to move some basses to make room for a fretless Lakland 55-02, JO5, or AJ5.

I really thought there would be more 5 string players.

Me, too.

Epiphone EB-0
Ibanez SR300L
Fender 60th Anniversary Jazz Bass (MIM)
Fender Japan Aerodyne Jazz Bass (MIJ) AJB/LH

all of my basses are left handed and are 4-string fretted with everything stock ImageUploadedByTalkBass.com1357579904.855218.jpg

Ken Smith BSR5-G,2 2010 Amer Jazz with Nordstrand NJ4SE pups, Geddy Lee Jazz. Music Man Bongo 4HH. My go to bass is the Bongo. That's what I have now. Gone through about 20 basses til I realized tone is in your hands. And the type of strings help. Started on 4. Went to 6. Back to 5. And now 4 string with Hipshot D Tuner.

At present I have the following basses in my possession.
MIK Spector NS2000/4 fretted four string
SSD (Spector) NS-4CRFL Czech made fretless four string
MIK Waterstone TP8/32 fretted eight string medium (32") scale
USA Hamer B12A fretted 34" scale 12 string bass

Have owned several 5 and 6 string basses, fretted and fretless, yet I would pick up a four string about 90% of the time. So they ended up being dust collectors. The Spector basses are usually my backup basses. Play the eight most, I have become quite fond of the 32" scale.
Peace,
Mike
