I've used an electronic tuner for years, but I'm moving to a tuning fork. Seems most people are using an A, but some use 110 or 220 or 440. What do you use, and why?

I used a 440 tuning fork for years until affordable tuners came along. Most people I know in major symphonies use tuners now.
If you really want to tune by matching a tone instead of using the tuner, why not use the tone generated by the tuner? It's adjustable and it's constant. The tuning fork will die out fairly quick.

If you have a tuning fork with a little ball on the end, you can hold it with your teeth while you tune with your hands. The sound travels through your skull and you can hear the A very well.
I just like doing things the old fashioned way, I guess. And I'd like to develop my ear a bit more too. Thanks for the suggestions!
+1 I used to tune to a tuning fork all the time. After a while, I could hum a 440 A. I switched to electronic tuner (work much better on stage) and have lost the ability.
But putting the tuning fork in your teeth really helps.

What do they use other than 440? I have heard of orchestras tuning to 442.
If I was asked to tune to other than 440, I would be in trouble. I know my tuner can do it, but I wouldn't know how. Ok, I would just borrow a tuner.
