I remember when there was only one model P bass to be had. These days you can get lost in the choice. (Not saying that's a bad thing, either).

For a while I wanted the Steve Harris P bass, just because it was Steve Harris but now I want a P bass with a Jazz bridge pup and a Jazz neck. I think that would be the ultimate combo for me.

I've owned a lot of P's over the years. Down to just one now, a MIM Standard in Copper Burst with rosewood board. It's in pieces now getting ready for a white pearl pickguard, Bill Lawrence Pickup, Q-Filter, CTS pots and Switchcraft jack.
