I love how those look, but I would really have to get used to playing with the pickup cover.

Thanks! I don't normally have them on when I play. The pickup guard is right where I like to put my thumb.

HipShot D tuner, DR Jonas Hellborg nickel lowriders, well set up, and barely played.

If Fender made a less-expensive P V, I’d have it.

I made a fretless P from a factory new Fender Mexico body, Warmoth maple/maple neck, Rothstein custom prewired assembly, Gotoh bridge, and Hipshot tuners. After a pro setup, she sounds fantastic. I wasn't sure if the maple fretboard would do well as a fretless, but she is holding up well. ( studio only).
