What news from Summer NAMM 2013?

I really like the way that looks. And I am not one who usually cares about how heads look.

Clearly, they are filling the underserved niche of the 1,000 watt studio head....... ;) I would think the knobs would hold up as well as any. If you drop the amp on the knobs, they will bend or break, otherwise I can't fathom why there would be any concern.

The LWA 1000 and the Roscoe PJ were my two favorites of the show. I got to hear the LWA as played by Andy Levine. While I wanted to chide him for violating TB Amp Forum rule #1 "never mix cabinets", I suppressed my desire to heckle him, and was ultimately impressed with the amp. These should be great sellers if the price is right.

This pedal is pretty compact, and it's just a tad over half the size of Eventide's other pedals.

The cool thing, though, is the Bluetooth control via iPad (processing is handled by the pedal, and involves some powerful engines, I am told):

Another cool thing at Summer NAMM was that Lakland is now offering a "USA Standard" series (they denote this line by putting a "14" at the end of the model name, as these are to be 2014 models). These basses are made entirely in the USA, on the same line, by the same builders, but only in a more limited number of colors/options. The price point will be something like $700 less, compared to a similarly spec'd USA custom model, but the bass should be identical.

Right-o Tom, the only difference according to Lakland is that the maple boards are straight grain with no birdseye. Everything else is the same. Here's a link to the one-sheet: Link Removed
