What pedal do you think IMA is teasing here?

Okay, I got excited for a second there, but then I looked closer; the markers on the knobs are wrong, the numbering that goes up to "8" (as much as we can see in the clear pic at the top of the post, another pic deeper in the post shows that it probably actually goes to "10") around the right-most knob is missing, the lettering along the edge of the lower right of the top plate is missing...

And what even are those labeling on the knobs; Base/Fuel/Flow..? ;^p

EDIT TO ADD: And what is going on with that HX Stomp, or the pedal above it where everything is offset to the right...?!?

AI is a horror show at times...

I believe in the previous post where this was teased he was discussing transformer based walrus DI with neve style bottoms and API style tops. Will be interesting to see what the price tag is like. If it’s actually bumped his noble off the board it could be a great option for those of us who can’t afford one. I was also going to say wait, but judging on how the MXR launch went this may soon become unattainable too.
From what I know, I expect this to be no less than $750 and no more than $1000.

I don’t hate the idea of paying if it sounds good. Ultimately if it’s bumped his noble off the board we just have to let the dust settle and work out if that’s a marketing move or if it’s genuinely got the weight and “feel” of a noble sonically it might be worth every penny.
I agree with you. I don't know IMA personally, but I firmly believe he uses things he actually likes and that work for him. If he says this release is great when it comes out, I believe him. I'm excited for it even as I'm unsure what it is exactly (though I believe it's a DI or DI adjacent pedal).

100% a DI/preamp/eq pedal

I hope you're right, but I was told by someone in proximity to it that it would be in the neighborhood of $500-$1000. I think $750 is where it will come in at personally.
Their percussion preamp retails at $900 and has a boatload of features; while I know that the internals on the bass pre should be 🔥 I can’t imagine they can charge quite as much fwiw

Yeah, the Sterloid collab, right? Is it $900? For some reason I thought it was also $750. I guess we'll get to see soon! I'm excited. I just got back into playing so it's a great time for me. I don't have history with Noble and the other staple brands.

$400 to $600, or $750 to $1K; both are quite pricey...

I would have to evaluate this (Mantle DI) versus the (also forthcoming) Jad Freer tube DI; cost is one consideration, but overall sound is the final deciding factor...

Either would be placed between a HX Stomp and a powered cabinet, an Accugroove Wedgie+ or a Barefaced Super Compact T...

;^p

EDIT TO ADD - In regards to the Barefaced cab mentioned above, that wold be once Alex decides to make a powered variant...!

No doubt it is all expensive.

One more day until we get to see what this is all about.
Is something announced?
Edit: I found this.

I’d love to see a thru output too. I mean the noble (as a comparison point) sounds great into the front end of amps, don’t get me wrong. But the versatility to keep the front end of my amp tone isolated and FOH/ears just with the box would be cool IMO.

I'm sure it'll be like the rest of Ian's stuff - super usable and designed for the working player. This is obviously a DI/Pre, as there's no Capo or noble on his board anymore. It'd take a miracle of engineering and price point from Walrus to get the Capo off my board at this point, though. We'll find out what's up tomorrow.
