What significant things happened in your life in 2013?

A lot.

I got married.

I became a father.

I quit smoking after 10 years.

I got a new, great "real" job.(that im currently surfing TB at...)

So all and all 2013 was a wonderful year for me. Im looking forward to 2014.

2013 was a great year for me! Got married, bought my first house, got a great promotion at work with a relocation to somewhere I've wanted to live for a very long time (hence the purchase of a house). Lots of other pretty good experiences as well, but those top the list.

Definitely a mixed year for me -

Good: Bought a new single-family home (upgraded from a townhouse), my son had his first birthday, my photography side business is starting to take off.

Bad: My day job is just awful right now. There were 2 jobs for which I was perfect not get posted because of this stupid "profitable growth" initiative at my company.

I moved into a house with my girlfriend and two other couples whom we we are friends with.

My dad passed. Saw him on a Saturday, he was gone on Monday.

Yes, it's peaceful at the moment. I'm sure Taksim will be way crowded tonight for the new year celebration. Hopefully, it'll be peaceful tonight too but you never know.

Not gonna lie,, its part of what scares me. Gained 25 pounds in two years. I really gotta get my **** together. As i age i exercise LESS.... Which is not the way it should go.

Who you are in high school is largely a matter of luck.

Released a great album with a wonderful band I play with, got to play two packed shows at the Blue Note in NYC with my wife and 11 year old son in attendance, and got to take part in the birth of a video series for children featuring the band and guest artists (including Ben Sollee, Bonny Prince Billy, and Norah Jones). All in all, a pretty good year!

Had a baby in February.

My mom finally sold her home, and got rid of all of my squatter siblings.

The bad:
Stage four pancreatic cancer diagnosis in February.
Three major surgeries
Septicemia after the first operation
Three trips to hospital by ambulance
8 and half weeks in hospital in total
Christmas eve rushed to hospital

THE GOOD
Learned how much I am loved
Learned how strong I am
Bought an old Miata
Opened my eyes to life and how precious it is.
Learned to live in the moment
The gift of living in the moment
I have great great friends and loving family.
Got some flying in

The good: I just learned a lot from ^BMC. Get well.
The bad: I lost two friends. One to a drug od. And My best friend as chemo racked his body after colon cancer surgery. RIP JT.

Strarted playing wih a new group of people. Actually do Angel from Montgomery.

Had a fried get arrested jailed went through the system got out and jailed again.

It's painful to watch this level of stupidity from a distance. It really hurts when it's close.

And I got a QF-2 and for Christmas I got TAFM during the sale.

It will be a great year for dirt.

My first son was born in September, that makes my year. With only a year gap between the two kids, 1 Daughter, 1 Son and 1 dog keeps me very busy these days, still find time to play a little though...

After working nights for 15 years I finally went to days in April. Wow, what a change to rejoin the land of the living. One month after I went on days I wound up playing in a Thursdsay night house band. You sure can't do that when you're working nights!

The year ended on a sour note or two for me. I got laid off on December 12th and the band came to an end on the 26th.

But 2014 is here and I'm looking on it as a new beginning.
