What strings are these?

Bought a used bass and the owner wasn’t sure what strings were on it. They look like flats to me, although I don’t have a ton of experience with flats. They have no silks on either end, which I thought flats always have. The brass ends from E-G are gold, red, black, green.

Any thoughts?

Hmmm. Can't be absolutely sure, but I think D'Addario has the colored ball ends?? (Photo is not flats but the color scheme is the same).

Yes, those colored ball ends are definitely D'Addario. I would guess they're the XL Nickels.

This would make so much sense!! Never heard of these. If I had to describe them I’d have said they’re like half round, half flat
