Hello... I bought a 2004 Jazz and it had roundwound strings on it with a red silk top. They sounded really nice. I asked the original owner and he thought they were the original strings that he had taken on and off a few times so I thought they were Fender 7035s which have a red top. Well I bought a new set of 7035s. When I removed the first string I saw that the bridge end of the string had no silk wrap on the end... but the 7035s do. I'm guessing that the strings that came on it are not 7035s... so what are they? The wire itself looked a bit more "yellow" than the 7035s which definately had that blue-ish stainless color. The string has a brass colored ball end and all the metal ball-ends are the same color. Any ideas? Someone said Boomers but these sounded better than the Boomers I remember. Especially being that they may be 5 years old. Thanks in advance...
