If anyone knows, I'd love to find out. I use Elixir Nanoweb on my '82 Schecter custom & they're great. Have had a brand new L2000 Tribby for a month & going into studio to record in a couple of days. The original strings sounded great but a bit dead for recording (due to a lot of playing in the last month) so put Elixirs on, but a totally different sound to the original strings. Does anyone have an idea what the original strings might have been?

What strings come standard on G&L L2000 Tribby?

Yep,they're the ones Mickey. Thanks for our help. I put the originals back on & recorded today. The bass sounded fantastic on 3 songs we recorded, so definitely going the D'addario XLs for the Tribute and I'll stay with the Nanoweb for the Schecter. BTW, the producer was knocked out with the sound of the G&L. Thanks for your help
