What Strings Do You Use On Your Fender Custom Shop?

Just a thread to see the different tastes that Fender Custom Shop owners have. Your post should mention your CS bass and the strings that it features. My entry:

CS '64 Jazz Bass (NOS) with Rotosound Swing Bass RS66LDN.
I think I have settled on roundwounds instead of flatwounds on it; Nickels for a warmer sound and Rotos for their unique character. :)

What's your recipe? :cool:

It really comes down to what style you play, what amp you use and the sound you like. I spent a crazy 3 weeks studying bass strings and finally realized the bass strings I like and have been using are the right ones for me. It is good to check out others strings to see if you like one brand more than the other. If you have two basses (or more) put different strings on each for a different sound.

I have not played Rotos in years but I love their sound. Think I will pick up a pack for my 2nd bass to have fun with. But I think I will keep DAddario Chromes on my 2nd bass for the most part.

I use TI Jazz Flats on all of them. They are smooth-as-silk to the touch and still have a growl.

CS '57 P bass with Sadowsky Black label flats, standard gauge 045-105. Have tested it with Chromes, TI flats, DR Legends, LaBella Low Tension flats, LaBella DTB 760FL + FS + FM, LaBella 1954 Classics, GHS Precision flats, SIT flats, Optima flats, Pyramid Gold, Rotosound RS77LD flats, Rotosound SH77 flats, Fender flats, Ernie Ball mark II flats, Sadowsky Blue Label flats, and various roundwounds. I always miss the Sadowsky SBF45 flats :)

Can you tell me about the Elites as far as tone and feel compared to Rotosounds? So many of my favorite European players use the Elites and I've always wondered how they compare.
