What strings for F#BEA?

You'll need quite a heavy string, my B string is 135 and that a medium 
so for the F# I would say around about 155 or something around that

You can get a .165 single string from www.conklinguitars.com. They also carry a .195 that is supposed to be used for a low C#, but I've read that people use it for F#. Warwick has a .175 but I'm not sure where to find that.
I have a bass tuned to drop G# and I use a .145 GHS string for that tuning. Rest of the strings on it are Ernie Ball. The .145 can't really do F# to my liking. The bass is 34 inch scale though. I got the string from [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I've been wondering this too, although I'm planning on tuning down to EADG. Or, rather, I'm currently tuned there, and now that I've had a chance to play with a group and perform in this tuning, I'm ready to get some heavier strings instead of a silly little .130.
Is Conklin's .165 my best bet? Is it going to mesh so badly with my current D'addarios that I should replace my other strings (I suppose I can always do that later).

For that E, (assuming you're talking about an octave lower than standard tuning), Conklin's .195 "C#" string will probably have a decent amount of tension, the .165 or .150 "F#" string from them might work well for the A and the D/G could probably be found with a little experimenting with standard E and B strings. Personally, I would try to have Labella custom make me a set of strings, because I really didn't care for the lifeless tone of the Conklin .165 string on my seven string bass.
I have tried the .195 SIT C# tuned up to an octave lower E(0) and I used the .150 from conklin for the A and they sounded ok. The .150 for the A was tight and like my other srings and played very well. The .195 was very taught also but there was no sustain after the 12th fret. I am trying to find some strings also because Conklin said they are out of .150 Conklin and .165 +.195 SIT strings and dont know when more are coming in. Ken Smith makes a 145 F# that I think would be good for the low A. The .165 isn't very good for the A or the E0. La Bella makes a .185 tuned for E0 but know one can seem to get them. I wonder what the warwick .175 sounds like tuned to E0? Anyways I play a 6 string with a 35inch scale so my examples mite not be similar to yours but thats what has worked for me

The Conklin .195 and .165 that is made by SIT is a collaboration between me and SIT. All strings are not for every body but I have no problem at all getting notes to sustain with my .195 along the entire fingerboard and I have done my share of recordings with these gauges and the strings cut through(at least for me) perfectly.

Jauqo have you ever tuned the .195 string to E0? And where can I get some more SIT strings from?
Ooh, those drop zone pluses look just about perfect. Just a hair on the heavy side for F# tuning, so probably not bad for E.

A friend at college put some Rotosound dropzones (1.75 F#) on his 4 string stingray copy.
It sounded horrible and unmusical.
