I play mostly heavy metal/hard rock but I also play at my church. I like a low growling sound but with mids and highs. I need a price less than or equal to 30$. I play an Ibanez SR400L. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Please do a search for Circle K strings. They are the best strings I have ever felt and heard. They keep their growl for a long time and are just overall top quality.

I can't seem to find these strings on the Guitar Center website. Where do they sell them

I played drums for 28 yrs, but always loved the bass and always dabbled. So I recently decided to sell off all my equipment and by bass gear. I have an Epiphone Goth T-Bird and I was wondering what string guage size I should use for it? I want to keep it in E to learn, but also want to be able to drop down to D when I want. I play w/ a pick and mostly in the hard rock/metal style. I like a thick, warm, low tone, but clear on the highs and mids. What string size would be universal enough to do well for this? I was thinking of getting the Circle K's, everyone here seems to really like them.

Gotta say go 'DR' and not just because those are my initials!

I changed over last year (Neons and High Beams) and I've been really impressed with their sound and longevity.
