What to do with $300?

I have received clearance from the wife to spend this amount and have made up my mind to get a Squier VM Fretless Jazz (I think) However..... I am curious to see what other TB'er would recommend. I am posting in Basses b/c that is my primary focus .I guess what i want to know is what else would some of you folks do with this $, (new pups for for me MIM Fender Jazz, etc.)

Any and all input is appreciated....

I would shop the TB classifieds as well as your local Cl for even better deals on used.

When I saw "What to do with $300" the first thing I thought of was Squier VM Fretless Jazz.

The last time I blew 300 bucks on a "what the heck" I got an Ibanez GSR206 because I was always curious to try a six string.

Of course there's always better value buying used etc, etc.

You can buy my squier vm.... or a nice used anything, really. you cant go wrong with a $300 bass. I've seen loads of nice basses for that price range. you COULD get 2 or 3 SX's too.

LOL, actually the $ is the payout from my fri/sat gigs next weekend so technically I don't have it yet...

Like i said really leaning on VM Fretless I've already tracked one down in my area. I have been all over the Classified for it too but due to the fact that I don't actually have the cash yet and not too mention these seem to sell pretty damn quick due to the great value and reviews.

Again I am open to any and all suggestions...... my GAS has been on overload in the month I've been frequenting this forum which is probably why I'm so indecisive!!

I saw this yesterday and I dig it but I am looking for something with a different tonal quality than what I already have thus the fretless, indecision etc...

Among the basses that I demo's this week were the Squier VM 'lined' fretless. And, my favorite was a used Millennium BXP 5 string (non-active) for about half that amount.

American Peavey Foundation Fretless w/Ferrites.

You can always resell it (can't do this with many basses without loosing cash).

Your wife will like that you don't have to spend as much cash.

Awww. You got to it first. I say shop used. You can find used GOOD stuff for cheap because some other person left their sweat all over it before you did.
