What to do with extra speaker?

I have an old 4 ohm 15" speaker that came out of a small (100 watt) combo amp. The speaker is in good shape but is only rated to handle 150 watts rms. What should I do with this? Make a cab fo it? sell it? build a combo? any other ideas?

Have you got a model number or any specs. Lets see if it's worth keeping.

Maybe use it to build a monitor of some type? These usually don't have to handle tons of power, and might be a good use for it..

Any long numbers stamped on the magnet or inside the frame starting with 15?

If so, you can send that number to [email protected] and ask for the Thiele-Small parameters.

You have to have the Spec No. though (they always start with the outside diameter of the speaker) as Eminence won't/can't tell you anything about a speaker described as "the one that Crate used in the BX100 or the ones that Ampeg uses in the 8x10", etc.

how about an automatic salad tossing plate? you put your untossed salad in it, pour on some dressing, hit low "E" a few times, and enjoy!

Sure. Pasta salad with roasted chicken ,almonds, capsicum slices, sun dried tomato, and a balsamic vinegarette based dressing. Bewdiful - tasty AND healthy! Caution - very filling.

Oh and pasta = Italian. Italian and Mayo don't mix.

The guys at Eminence say it's actually rated at 300-400 watts RMS. I may just pick up a couple of 10's or 8's and make a single cab. Anyone have Plans for DIY cabs for a 15" with a couple of 8"???

15's aint 15's. Some like big cabs, some like small, all are tuned differently.

Did the guys at Eminence give you any Thiele Small parameters?
