What type of Pick do you (should I) use

I use Wedgie 5.0 mm medium and 3.1 mm hard rubber picks. I like how they give you the louder sound that a pick gives you but it still sounds like you are playing with your fingers.

The best suggestions is the one that most everyone else has given you. Got to the guitar shop and get several different types. That's what I did to find the kind I like. If you're lucky they will even have some demo picks that they will give you to try for free.

I second or third this motion, go grab a handful and try them out. Keep in mind you may change your mind about what feels good as get used to playing with one. All else fails, use your fingers! lol

I use Big Stubby 2mm for most things, 1mm is just to thin for my tastes in picks and 3mm is overkill, and also for the Picks Vs Finger argument, they are exactly the same princible just some are better at one than the other, and then of course you have finger vs slap vs pick vs pop vs thumb which all bring different tones and are all different. just throwing that out there, personally i have good control from pick playing and finger playing.
